Fly me to the Moon — Bossa Nova (Click)

On the second Sunday of May, many countries across the world, including India, will be celebrating Mother’s Day.  For  me, it is a joyous occasion. My daughter rounds up her friends and stages a special “show” . The kids are in charge from the beginning to the end. Invitation cards are sent out days in advance. Neighbourhood mums are invited. We sit back and watch the wondrous performances, sipping soft drinks and munching crisps and other savouries the  children buy with their pocket money.  I love the occasion, the fuzzy warmth…

Many mothers are not so lucky.
